Getting it together

Ever since Leonie and I embarked on our first US journey in 2009 from Dallas-Forth Worth, looping down to Big Bend, and from there working our way up north and east, she has wanted to go back to Western Texas (we spent a couple of days in a tiny bit of the Eastern part in 2015).
Ever since she experienced Western Australia on board a campervan, she has wanted to do do something like that again.
So, guess what: this year we will be driving Western Texas (and a bit of New Mexico) in the smallest rental RV we could find available.

We have most of what we need in place now. Above you will see the route we're thinking of taking. And below is what we will be bringing along to help us find our way through The Great Wide Open:

Well, that, and an in-car navigation system.
